Bushnell Binoculars

Bushnell Binoculars is one of the leading manufacturers of binoculars, offering a wide range of durable and high-quality optics to suit the needs of as many customers as possible. Bushnell is an American company that created its first glass eyepiece more than fifty years ago. It was founded by David Bushnell back in 1948. The company produces binoculars, telescopes, night vision equipment and even GPS devices. Other products include riflescopes, ski goggles, sunglasses.

Every Bushnell binocular is designed and produced in a way that will ensure high-quality and great customer satisfaction for many years to come. Nevertheless, there are some basic things you must know in order to achieve maximum performance, by adjusting the binocular to your eyes, and taking proper care for the instrument.

Interpupillary distance is defined as the distance between the eyes. It varies for every individual so you can control it in order to get the right alignment of lens to eye. To do that, hold your binocular in the normal viewing position and start moving the barrels closer together or further apart until you start seeing a single circular field. Always make sure you have it set on that ideal position for you before using from that point on.

As you probably know, every person has a unique eyesight. Because of that, Bushnell binoculars have a diopter setting feature which allows you to fine-tune the binocular to your vision. Bushnell binoculars have three main types of focusing systems - Center, Insta and Individual. The Center type features a central focusing wheel between the barrels. The Insta-focus has a central focusing lever between the barrels, while the Individual Focus system allows for each eyepiece to be focused separately, just like on Marine binoculars.

The Zoom feature is another parameter that can be regulated on Bushnell binoculars. When setting the zoom, it's a good idea to start with at high power. Set the zoom lever at the highest value indicated and focus on a distant object until you can see it at finest. Use the diopter setting to adjust the Bushnell binocular according to your eye strength. Once you have done all that, start zooming in or out on a distant object.

Some of the latest Bushnell binoculars feature the a new, revolutionary focus-free optical system, called Perma Focus -Instavision. This system offers clear viewing from approximately 35-100 feet (depending on power), without having to adjust the focus control manually. Such models don't have a diopter setting.
